Nestled in the hills over looking the sea, the Cornish Distilling Company. are the first Cornish distillers of genuine British rum. From the fermentation of the molasses through to bottling, everything is done by us in our Bude distillery.
Cornish Rum From Scratch
We make genuine Cornish Rum and Cornish Gin, created on site in our distillery in Bude, Cornwall.
Unlike most British sellers, who import their rum from the Caribbean and add flavouring, we create our rum from scratch. The fermentation process, although time consuming, allows the team to have more control over the flavour of the rum. We are proud to offer you a truly authentic British-made rum.
The Cornish Distilling Company is a collaboration between Richard & Fionagh Harding, and Tom Read.
Moon Curser
Our new Mooncurser Cornish spiced rum is inspired by the hidden coves and rocky inlets that Cornwall has long been notorious for. Here smuggling was rife, as the moon cursers stole their imports ashore in the dead of night, to become the stuff of local legend.
Tasting notes: notes of vanilla, orange and caramel, followed by warm nutmeg and cinnamon. Hints of coffee, ginger and pepper provide a clean finish. 70cl / ABV 37.5%

If you’ve ever wondered how to make true British rum from scratch you will have the opportunity to visit the distillery floor and see the process of rum making – from the fermentation of the molasses to the bottling of the finished product.
You’ll get to sample the range of the Cornish Distilling Co’s rums whilst enjoying sweeping views over the Cornish countryside.
